About

At the age of fourteen, I was given the unique experience of becoming an Au Pair for a family in Montreal. This is when my passion for child development began. That passion continued to grow and as a result, I entered the Early Childhood Education program at Centennial College. I was most interested in child development and child psychology. I soon began the life long journey of motherhood and through my study of child development, I understood the importance of the first six years of life and the impact that the environment has on human beings. I applied the Montessori pedagogy at home with my own children as well as with those in my care.

My passion for both education and child development was strong and I wanted to do more. I studied business through Laurentian University and worked in both the education and the business world while I raised my children. I am now a mother of two bilingual adult children whom are both teachers. My daughter is a Montessori teacher and she also has a Business Degree. My son is an elementary school teacher, a French Major and a father of two darling little girls.

About

I am a mother of three children. One daughter and two sons. My husband and I both come from families of doctors and teachers. My parents encouraged me to study medicine but my passion was to be a teacher like my mom and help young children.

I am a fully qualified AMI Montessori teacher. My progressive teaching career has furnished a highly developed professional Montessori teaching and Montessori Administration background. I have more than 25 years of experience in the field of Montessori teaching, specializing in the range of 2 ½ year to 6-year-old children. Just before I joined AMA I was employed by Green Nest Children’s Foundation as a Montessori education consultant. I also hold Diploma’s in Child Psychology and Child Care Management.

About

I am a mother of two boys, ages 10 and 14, and have been working with children for over 20 years.

I received my diploma in Early Childhood Education, with Honours, from George Brown College (Toronto) in 1999. Since acquiring my ECE, I worked in high risk/inner-city childcare centres in Toronto and operated a very successful in-home daycare program in Newcastle during which time I became a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE). Prior to my position at AMA, I was employed at a childcare facility in Whitby. I am also First Aid/CPR qualified.

I became interested in the Montessori philosophy and, after researching its methodology, came to the realization that it is in my nature to provide the same educational instruction, guidance, and nurturing care that Montessorian’s provide. This is a natural fit for me!

About

I am a mother of three. My husband and I have raised our children in Whitby and are about to see our only daughter go off to University at the age of18. Our 23-year-old son holds an Engineering Degree and our 21-year-old son is completing his apprentice program with Hydro One and will soon be a licensed Electrician.

I attended College in Durham Region and graduated with a diploma in Early Childhood Education. After graduating from Durham College I accepted and thoroughly enjoyed a teaching position at a local Childcare centre. My husband and I had planned for me to be a stay at home mom during our children’s early years where I, as well as my husband did an abundance of volunteering in the community. Most of my volunteer work was in the area of sports and involved children of all ages. I am happy to have had that opportunity but I am also happy to be where I am today, using my skills and acquired knowledge, nurturing and guiding young children in this Montessori environment.
